Only have time to listen to music right now?
A sci-fi movie that questions your morals and actions, asks you what’s important, and makes you wonder where we are going. By hinting at glitches, reincarnation, climate change, diversity, human endurance and technology, you start to see that no matter how many mistakes we make, humans are also great at coming up with solutions.
But when faced with yourself, what do you do? When there is no one around to tell you who you are. Humans are predictable, yet also surprising when faced with surprising circumstances.
Humans will probably still wear hoodies, smoke weed, listen to classic music, need companionship, and sacrifice for the greater good. We know what we like, and we will take those things no matter where we go, even if it’s by accident, and even if we have no idea where we’re going as a species. We may not even know where we are right now.

You most likely have the ability to help fund this film. Or maybe you are vegan, a climate change activist, artistic, genuinely a cool person, have status, talent, and/or display a valuable trait that this project could use. I'm a fan of yours and would love to collaborate to make this happen.
My "big" goal:
Impress the hell out of just one billionaire with my script and website, skip over all the formalities, and they drop 5 million and I take that and use it to compile a production team of our choice, choose locations, actors... and pay everyone handsomely including the billionaire investor.
My "low" goal:
Gather maybe 10 like-minded people with this website - people that are willing to invest $1k each - in order to produce an amazing trailer & pitch, which would then be used to generate more investors and go from there.
My realistic goal:
Get a group of cool people, some with money to invest, some with skills to offer, some with locations to lend... and do it grassroots ourselves and discuss the payout from there.
My "at least I won't cry" goal:
Get positive feedback from you, see what works and doesn't work for you guys, find out what YOU expect, and get that discussion going.
I want to at least know that I tried my hardest to make this movie the right way, to give it justice. If I sell it, then it will go on a shelf forever and never get made. If the buyer ever does film it, it will most likely be made to be an apocalyptic action movie without any of the diversity or messages I envision.
Netflix isn't necessarily a collaborative effort. I don't think they would allow me much creative control although I wouldn't turn them away if they approached me.
If I make a Kickstarter or some other fundraiser, I would be giving away the whole script to everyone so what's the point of any plot-twists?
If you decide to back this film, you would be investing into it as you would with any other movie. We can discuss and decide whether you want a percentage of rights, royalties or any other form or compensation if there is a profit. Which, obviously is a main goal - to get the investors their money back. But as always, there is no guarantee.
This would be a professional, valid, real movie with real contracts and everything on the up and up.
I'm not expecting anything in particular from anyone when it comes to collaborators/musicians. Everything is up for debate and discussions. I'm not looking for favors, I'm looking for collaborators in whatever capacity you are willing to extend. Whether it's funding, talent, equipment, space, professional colleagues, and/or your music.
This website is basically a really good way for me to find out who is available and interested, and quickly go from there.
I wrote this movie specifically with the music in mind because I wanted to convey emotion as much as I could, without it being a cheesy Lifetime movie. I also wanted to make a movie about the state of our planet without it being a documentary or another apocalyptic movie. I think I found a great middle area that keeps both your heart and your mind intrigued from the beginning to the end.
This is the main issue. I do not have funds. Like, any. At all. So I'm hoping by getting this website up and running, I can generate some backers and producers. I'm willing to share rights to the movie as a payment, or any other negotiations you may feel fair to bring to the table. If the entire premise of fixing climate change is working together to get something accomplished then I think it wouldn't be crazy to ask for the same mentality in order to accomplish an important message like this one. Where people come together because they want to, and be ok receiving just a fair reward and not zillions of dollars. I mean, hey, if Spielberg or Netflix comes knocking and offers me 5 million dollars then yes, everyone will be paid well. If it's a grassroots type movie, then we will discuss and come to a fair conclusion. But in all fairness and zero bias, I'm a pretty cool person to hang out with if all else fails.
Every single person who helps in any way in this project would have their names displayed in some manner in the credits. Any financial backer would be credited in the prominent beginning of the long credits as well. Every band member who allows me to use their song will be credited for their music and for being generous and caring. Even worldwide activists will be told a general thanks at the end of the movie for doing their part. Again, everything is up for discussion so any ideas are welcomed.
If you're unsure of why I have tapped your shoulder for this, then you probably are more humble than you think. And that's why you're here... because you're down to Earth and I feel like taking a chance on asking you for some financial help. I bet you either have lots of money, or talented friends, or maybe even have an extra warehouse or two that I could build a movie set in. Maybe you know someone with a 1980's 757 cargo plane I could borrow? Maybe you have spare parts from a spaceship that you no longer need, and I could use those parts, please.
